L.E.V. 2014 announce the first round of confirmed names.
L.E.V. will be back in 2013 taking place at its usual venues in Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura, in Gijon (the north coast of Spain). It will be during the 2nd and 3rd of May.
L.E.V. a co-production by the Asturias Government, the Council of Gijón, LABoral Art and Industrial Creation Centre and Datatrón, will try again to take the pulse of the international audiovisual creation with a selection of some of the most interesting artists and projects today.
Robert Henke, Atom TM, Vatican Shadow, Vessel, Fasenuova, Aoki Takamasa and Luke Abbott are the first confirmed names
Innovative projects like Lumière, a stunning laser show conceived by Robert Henke, one of the creators of the software Ableton and the man behind one of the key icons of the new electronic club music culture: Monolake. Atom TM, another essential artist to understand the contemporary electronic music will show at L.E.V. his last and acclamed work, the audiovisual show HD.
Industrial terrorism and darkness.
Noise music and the darkness sounds will be at L.E.V. 2014 thanks to some exciting projects: Vatican Shadow, the moniker that Dominick Fernow has emerged to explore industrial abstract techno while at the same time highlighting governmental subterfuge, one of the most exciting and cutting-edge noise musicians in the world. Vessel, who takes influence as much from the bass heavy heritage of the city around him as from sounds emerging far further afield to create exciting, unclassifiable music. And one of the most surprising spanish projects of the last years: Fasenuova. Poetic and subtle, then violent and brutal: no truce a find for whoever gets into the eye of the sonic storm.
Aoki Takamasa, the Japanese artist from Osaka that’s been producing his brand of processed electronics for more than ten years. His music that refuses to be boring. It’s punchy and danceable as it is experimental and abstract. There’s hip hop, there’s techno, there’s house, there’s that sterile glitch ‘n’ hum. And the colouristic IDM and analogic textures of Luke Abbott, who will arrives at Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual to show the works he is going to release this spring.
