Robert Lippok is one of the most influential artists of the last 25 years on the Berlin scene. He is a founding member of the mythical To Rococo Rot, one of the most beloved projects by experimental music aficionados of all times that have successfully managed to break the boundaries between post-rock and electronic music.
In this edition of L.E.V. he will present his latest work, which will be released earlier in the year in raster-noton platform, in collaboration with Klara Lewis (Editions Mego) and Dodo Nkishi, drummer with the great Mouse on Mars.
Deep sounds, drums, minimalism, white noise, marimbas and wooden sticks found on his walks, combined with the piano to create a dense atmosphere that sculpts nearly palpable melodies. Those unique sounds characterize the work of Robert Lippok, a magnificent example of XXI digital romanticism.
